Our first trip to Steamboat Springs, CO.

There were quite a few people on the easier runs, but on the harder runs, there weren't many people at all.
The powder was kind of hit or miss. Some areas were so-so, but some places, like this, were really nice!
This was the outside temp as we drove home from dinner. We were told that the next day's high would be around 19F - quite frigid!
Since it was going to be so cold and no snow was forecast, we decided to go cross-country skiing. It was only $10 pp to rent the equipment - cheap!
This was a first for all of us. This first hill gave me some problems until I figured out the proper uphill technique.
It took Judy and I a bit longer, but we soon got the hang of it too, at least with the flats and uphills. Downhill was still kind of rough.
It was nice because there wasn't much traffic on the trail. We only saw a handful of other cross-country skiers.
Too bad neither of us brought sunglasses on this trip. They would have been much better than goggles.
As the sun started going down, it started getting COLD. We (Judy especially) were ready to be done about this point.
We went to this steakhouse for dinner. Don't know why, but there was a bunch of guys outside wondering where the hookers were.
