Judy and I are gettin' hitched!
[ Blog Entry ]
This was kind of what I wanted Latte's presentation to be like. Instead of a calm, demure demeanor, she galloped around doing her typical grunts and snorts.
Here's the ring in the proposal case. I love how sapphires can look very different under different lighting conditions. Here the stone is a darkish blue.
I searched about for various backgrounds to photograph the ring against. This is actually against one of Judy's black jackets.
One of the hard things was propping the ring up without having to use another object. I did that basically by folding a crease in the jacket.
White vs. black background was a tradeoff. The white background looks cleaner and accentuates the ring, but I felt the stone looks better against black.
These next three pics were from the jewelry store. The angle of this close up is nice, but I find the photo kind of grainy.
Another one from the jeweler. The ring looks almost like yellow gold in this pic which we didn't like.
The shots came out OK. The problem is that with enough light to see the ring, the black background no longer looks black.
Here, the background is blacker, but then the ring is darker too. What I wanted was to have the ring against a really black background.
