Latte's ready for her first out-of-state vacation!

Latte gets comfortable atop my down jacket somewhere in Tahoe.

For some reason, lying atop our bumpy bags was more comfortable than her bed.

VIDEO: During our first day at Brighton, we saw a porcupine crossing the trail!

It was kind of comical because the porcupine kept sinking into the snow with each step it took.

One of the great things about our Salt Lake condo was the fiber optic internet. Now that's what I call broadband!

This was a familiar scene during our evenings in the Salt Lake City condo - Judy fixed behind the MacBook Pro while planning our upcoming trip to Vietnam.

Patty fell off her board going up the infamous Sundown tow-rope...

...but was spared the walk of shame because one of the lift workers soon roared up the hill on his snowmobile to rescue the damsel in distress.

We did our usual run down to the Paradise lift where we found, much to our dismay, that the lift was closed for repair!

There were no signs indicating that Paradise was closed and worse, the two workers at the lift did not have radio contact with anyone. Fortunately, >>>

The workers were on the top of the lift pole repairing some problem with the cable alignment.

It wasn't long before we were being towed up to the Hidden Lake lift. Here, Patty and Dave take the first trip up.

As part of a recent management change, Moose Hollow no longer provides complimentary Moose Tracks ice cream. Good thing Latte was willing to go out and get some ice cream for us.

The next day at Snowbasin. Patty proclaims that she intends to bomb straight down the mountain.

The view down to the Strawberry Express. With all the brown in the valley below, it's clear that this has been a pretty dry year.

Trail kill. We found this poor little guy right in the middle of the trail, probably run over by a skiier or boarder.
