We first came here several weeks ago, but I didn't bring the camera which is unfortunate because the surroundings were much prettier then.
Even though it's only been a few weeks, everything has started to turn brown.
And it was a lot hotter this time around.
Last time, we only rode 9 miles or so. This time, we did the whole out and back, ~22.6 miles.
The sunny and hot section gives way to some nice shade.
The trail enters a completely different environment as we're now riding amidst a redwood forest.
Stopping a little over halfway through for some lunch.
Continuing on through the redwood forest.
As we emerge from the forest, we get a glimpse of the ocean in the far distance.
There's still some nice shady patches to ride through.
This is on the way back. Here's a nice view of the ocean.
Riding back through the redwood forest.
Riding back through the sunny section.
Hmmmm... looks like some traffic up ahead!
These cows act like they own the road or something.
Hey, you're holding up traffic!
There's nothing to see here. Let's move along!
Cow herding on a mountain bike. Could be interesting.
Judy rides by after the herd has crossed the trail.
Looking back at the herd.
Continuing on. The trail back is a lot easier because it's mostly downhill.
Still kind of bummed I didn't bring the camera last time because these fields and hills were all much greener.
Another herd of grazing cows.
I'd go crazy if I were a cow. Look at all the flies hovering around its face!
Hey, what are YOU looking at?
